"Thank you so much for the beautiful memories... great yoga, massage techniques, words of wisdom, great food, choice of location and many other things!" Wendy Liu, Easter 2011 Retreat Participant
Tree Top Retreat
I've just come back from three days in the bush with an amazing group of people who helped to make the Adore Yoga Easter Retreat a very special occasion.
When I read the weather forecast on Sunday, I didn't think that nature was on our side for a bush retreat, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Waking up to the gentle sound of rain on the cabin roof, punctuated by bird calls (and no other sound) was absolutely magical.
We stayed roasty-toasty beside the wood-fired heater on the covered deck, so we enjoyed the great outdoors even through the heaviest downpours. Our yoga practise, in the heated, glass sided yurt, focused on Kapha-pacifying practises for Autumn and was enjoyed by humans and kookaburras alike (several of the fluffy birds were perched in the trees and on the balcony outside the yoga room, curiously watching our classes!)

We were very lucky to have Gilan assisting at the retreat. A yoga teacher-trainee, Gilan is also a kirtan leader (Indian chanting) and she just happened to have brought her chant sheets and percussion instruments with her (she stopped of en route from a festival), so we had a spontaneous chanting session on the final day. It was a great way to end a weekend of yoga, meditation, pranayama and excellent company. Thank you to everyone who participated, especially Gilan and Vanessa Fox for their wonderful assistance.

Adore Yoga is running a retreat in the Daintree Rainforest 22 – 27 July 2011 and a Detox Spring Retreat at Maraylaya near Sydney 14-16 October.
