A typical retreat day’s schedule

8.30: healthy buffet breakfast
10 – 11.30 alternate days: optional sessions on the philosophy and practice of yoga OR free time or Spa treatments
12 – 12.30pm Yoga Nidra (relaxation)
12.30pm : delicious set lunch
1.30pm – 4.30 pm : spa treatments, free time, swim
4.30pm – 5.45 pm : gentle/restorative afternoon yoga
7.00pm : dinner

YOUR TEACHERS

Teachers for this retreat include Mark O'Brien (Director of Qi Yoga in Manly) and faculty from Adore Yoga (TBC).

Mark O’Brien has practiced Yoga for 15 years, and been teaching since 1996. In 2001 he opened Qi Natural Therapies & Yoga in Sydney, a chain of 3 successful Yoga and Natural Therapy centres and has since become one of Sydney’s in-demand teachers. He holds Senior Teacher Membership status and is on the National Executive of the “ Yoga Teachers’ Association of Australia ” His relaxed teaching style encourages you to find your own alignment to experience blissful freedom in your body, and clarity and happiness in your mind with attention to safety and minimal effort. No special ability in asanas is required other than the ability to breathe!Mark had a strong meditation practice before graduating from the “Heart of Yoga” teacher-training in 1999, (based on the approach of TKV Desikachar) He has since trained with many respected Yoga teachers including further study with both TKV Desikachar and his son Kausthub Desikachar . Mark has studied elements of Tantra and Hatha yoga (sometimes called “ISHTA Yoga”) and he has studied with Rodney Yee and his current teacher over several years is the great Donna Farhi .
